Are You Insured?
On several occasions when RNR has gone out to bring smiles, someone has asked if our organization has liability insurance. The answer is unfortunately "no, we don't have the funds to purchase a group liability policy.” It would cost the organization in the neighborhood of $1400 a year and though it may not seem like much to some, we are currently not in a position to add this to our bottom line. The cost of event insurance for a single event is also prohibitive, likely around $1000 per event.
The more important point is that each and every clown should carry their own entertainer's insurance, which costs about $225.00 per year.
When you go out of your door for any RNR event, hosted or associated, it makes no difference. You must be insured.
