GET INVOLVED

There are many ways that you can make a difference. We recognize that not everyone can travel to an area devastated by a natural or manmade disaster. With this in mind, we have a number of ways that you can send smiles to the rescue...

RED NOSE BOUQUETS

Following the tragic school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut in 2012, several of our responders came up with a respectful way to raise the spirits of this devastated small town. Instead of red roses, they assembled bouquets of red noses and sent them around. This effort launched a new program that allows responders to assemble and distribute bouquets from home.

RELIEF WORKER HOMECOMINGS

While on-site assisting the victims of a disaster, many workers from major relief organizations may miss the opportunity to observe holidays or even attend their own birthday party. Our responders have put together special local events, including belated celebrations, to welcome them back and honor their work.

FUNDRAISING AND CHARITY DRIVES

Often times, a request for donations will come in immediately following a major disaster. Whether it is a financial request or one for clothing and canned goods, we want to give our responders the opportunity to help right away. We also encourage our responders to organize charity drives in their own communities to raise support for those in need.
ON-SITE RESPONSE
We encourage those responders with the proper training to engage in on-site operations with major relief organizations. For those who are looking to be certified, we provide guidance to help assist them in their pursuits. We also have organized our own operations which typically occur after the major first response teams have completed their work.
